Teriyaki Steak and Bok Choy

I have been absolutely craving absolutely craving Asian food lately, so I came up with a quick recipe of things we had in the house, and it turned out SO good!

I hope ya’ll will try it out!

What You’ll Need:

  • White Rice

  • Steak (any kind of your choice) \ I totally think you could make this chicken as well!

  • Garlic

  • Ginger

  • Bok Choy

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Teriyaki Sauce

  • Olive Oil

Rice

Start the rice first, since that usually takes longer!

You’ll want to do equal parts water to rice.

Add in 1.5c water, and 1.5c rice into small sauce pot.

Bring to a boil, once it starts to boil, bring to verrrrry low heat and let cook until water is gone and rice is cooked!

For the Steak

  1. Cut 1lb steak into cubes and season with salt and pepper

  2. Mince 2 cloves of garlic

  3. Mince 1 small piece of ginger (a little goes a long way for ginger)

  4. Heat 2tbsp of oil in a large skillet over medium heat

  5. Throw in the garlic and the ginger, and let it get saute for apx 1 minute

  6. Add in the cubed steak and stir together for about 3 minutes

  7. Take the steak out and throw into a bowl, the steak will probably not be finished yet

  8. Dice half a yellow onion and add that to the pan, allow it to saute for about three minutes

  9. While the onion is cooking, slice your bok choy in half, length wise and add that into your pan for another three minutes

  10. Add your beef back into the mixture and add as much teriyaki sauce as you’d like. We started with just a few tablespoons. I wound up adding some more afterward because I like more than my husband does!

  11. Once that is done, add rice to a bowl and top with your beef and bok choy mixture!

This also made us both some leftovers, so I would say the recipes feeds four people! You can always double for a larger party! But, we loved this and plan on making it again in the near future!

Let me know if you try it out and share with your friends!
